The City of Lincoln is one of Northern California's best kept secrets. Incorporated in 1890, Lincoln was named after real-estate magnate Charles Lincoln Wilson and is situated 30 miles northeast of Sacramento near the Sierra Foothills in South Placer County In 2003 Lincoln was named the fasting growing city in California, but still retains a small town atmosphere with broad tree lined streets and a downtown square.

One of the city's many activities is the nationally known "Feats of Clay" art festival and competition, an annual event held for three weeks during the month of May. Artists from around the United States compete for their work to be exhibited on the 19th century factory floor next to the still functional massive kilns at Gladding McBean.

Lincoln's city leaders and community activists are committed to maintaining the small town rural charm. The delights and beauty of San Francisco and Lake Tahoe are only 2 hours away. Sacramento, California's capital, offers theatre, fine dining, historic Old Town on the Sacramento River, museums and professional sports. Sacramento boasts the second most trees per capita in the world, second only to Paris, France. On the horizon are the fabulous Sutter Buttes, the world's smallest mountain range. This circular range with lush valleys, streams and abundant wildlife is an unspoiled paradise. This is truly a place to enjoy and appreciate.
